Snowflakes, Maps, and Speed: A Rider's Story in Leather

How REV'IT! TAILORTECH turned diverse passions into one seamless, custom racing suit

What do a racing suit, snowflakes, and a passion for cartographer maps have in common?
Nothing! (the expected answer)
Actually, that's not quite right...

But what if the answer wasn't so obvious after all?
At REV'IT! TAILORTECH, we frequently tackle the challenge of weaving different aspects of someone's personality into one cohesive design.
Our suits serve as blank canvases, and our motorcycle enthusiasts—brimming with excitement—want to incorporate everything they love into their designs.

They want something that truly represents who they are.

The beauty of humanity lies in our uniqueness—different passions, tastes, and attractions to diverse things. This individuality makes us interesting, but... there's always a but... combining all these elements visually doesn't automatically create a harmonious design.

And that's where TAILORTECH makes a difference.

So, what happens when those passions seem impossible to reconcile?

We don't simply execute your ideas. We discuss them with you, shape them together, and guide you throughout the creative journey.

This was precisely the case with this project.

A motorcycle enthusiast from the USA approached our design team with numerous ideas. He was inspired by a winter test suit we had created for another American racer—a black suit with white snowflakes. He also wanted to incorporate yellow details and cartographer maps.

What if the solution wasn't in separating the elements—but in merging them?

That's when we combined the snowflakes and maps into a single design element, creating a stronger identity while giving the suit a cleaner look.

For the final touch, we softened the colors from high-contrast yellow, white, and black to tarmac black and anthracite gray. This created a subtler effect—something strong yet thoughtful, not immediately obvious at first glance.

For the technical foundation, we began with the X_201 suit—a design typically crafted from a combination of racing leather and kangaroo. As our first enhancement, we upgraded to full kangaroo leather to provide the smoothest possible canvas.

Using the customer's 23 body measurements, we created his pattern with careful attention to body proportions, his request for a snug racing fit, and compatibility with the Tech-Air airbag. Once complete, we converted the design to 1:1 proportions for UV printing—but only after precision cutting by our automated machine.

The artisanal assembly then proceeded until the final inspection of the finished suit.

So what do you get when design and engineering meet a rider's individuality?

This custom suit embodies everything we strive for at REV'IT! TAILORTECH—transforming diverse personal elements into a harmonious design that's both visually striking and deeply meaningful to the rider.

The journey from concept to creation demonstrates our commitment to collaborative design, where we refine ideas together until they perfectly capture the essence of the person wearing our suit. Because ultimately, our greatest achievement isn't just creating exceptional racing gear—it's helping riders express their unique identity every time they hit the track.
